John Wooden: A must see for all who love basketball.

John Wooden was one of the most successful college coaches during his spell at UCLA, winning 10 national championships and is a great inspiration to me. During his time in UCLA, he coached the two Hall of Famers Bill Walton and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

I came across this video approximately a year ago and I was instantly moved by this wise man’s analogies of how to play the game- many of which have become part of my own basketball philosophies.

If you enjoyed this video, I thoroughly recommend his book; They Call Me Coach. I read it this summer and it took me a week to brisk through because of how interesting his experiences were. I truly consider this book to be a basketball bible. Despite coaching in a different time period, he proves that no matter how the game of basketball changes, its fundamentals are timeless.
